
Series of Earthquakes Rattle Sacramento Region and Bay Area
A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck near Isleton, California, causing weak to light shaking across the Sacramento region and parts of the Bay Area. Train service was temporarily halted for inspections, but no immediate damage was reported. The quake occurred one day before the planned Great California Shake Out drill and on the 34th anniversary of the devastating 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake.
