Identifying the Victims: Samuel Little's Trail of Death
The remains of Yvonne Pless, a Georgia woman killed in 1977, have been identified and confirmed as a victim of Samuel Little, the most prolific serial killer in US history. Little confessed to killing 93 people between 1970 and 2005, and strangled most of his victims, mostly women living on the edges of society. Pless' remains were identified using forensic genetic genealogy, and her family was notified. Little died in December 2020, but before his death, he confessed to killing two other Macon women, prompting Georgia investigators to travel to Texas in 2019 to interview him.
