Siverek high school shooting injures 16 before the shooter takes his own life
An 18-year-old former student opened fire with a shotgun at a vocational high school in Siverek, Sanliurfa province, wounding 16 people (10 students, four teachers, a canteen worker and a police officer) before killing himself. Most wounded were treated in Siverek, with five later moved to a provincial hospital due to more serious injuries; authorities have not disclosed a motive and say a comprehensive investigation is underway.
