Alex Ligertwood, the Scottish singer who fronted Santana on and off from 1979 to 1994 and sang on albums such as Marathon and Zebop!, died in his sleep aged 79, two weeks after his last concert. His wife announced the news on Facebook. Ligertwood also performed with The Magic Of Santana, Senate, Jeff Beck Group and the Average White Band, and was born in Drumchapel, Glasgow.

Ravinia Festival has announced its 2023 summer lineup featuring over 50 artists and over 100 concerts, including the Chicago Symphony Orchestra's annual summer residency. The lineup includes both new and returning artists such as Charlie Puth, Santana, Carrie Underwood, and Boyz II Men. Tickets go on sale to the public on May 1.
