Hollister High Shuts Down 2026 Football Season Amid Investigation
The San Benito High School District canceled the remainder of Hollister High’s 2026 varsity football season due to too few players to safely field a team while it investigates a matter involving multiple members of the program. Head coach Thomas Sullivan was placed on paid administrative leave and former coach Chris Cameron was named interim. Hollister had started 3-0, then forfeited a game against Alisal as the review proceeded. The junior varsity and freshman teams will continue, Homecoming activities are still planned, and more information will be shared later by the district.
