Diablo 4’s Hell’s Legacy season returns Deckard Cain and the Prime Evils, lands on Switch 2
Diablo 4's Season of Hell's Legacy launches Sept 15 to celebrate 30 years of the series and marks the Nintendo Switch 2 debut, reviving Deckard Cain and pitting players against the three Prime Evils (Diablo, Baal, Mephisto) in familiar locations; defeating a Evil grants a Soul Splinter that borrows some power but increases vulnerability. The update adds nine Legacy Uniques (including Stone of Jordan) and new Waking Nightmares encounters. The Switch 2 release includes the Age of Hatred Collection with cross‑play/progression. An Amazon character arrives in 2027 with four builds. BlizzCon 2026 also teased Diablo 5, World of Warcraft: Forever, and a new open‑world StarCraft shooter.
