
Eight Die After Charter Plane Crashes Near Cape Newenham, Alaska
A charter plane crashed near the Cape Newenham Long Range Radar Site in western Alaska, killing all eight people on board (two pilots and six passengers). The flight, a Cessna 441 operated by Security Aviation from Anchorage to Cape Newenham, went down around 12:15 p.m. local time. FAA and the NTSB will investigate; the Alaska Rescue Coordination Center launched a search-and-rescue mission and later confirmed no survivors. Names of those aboard will be released after next of kin notifications.
