Deadly crashes on I-70 near Indianapolis.
A seven-vehicle crash involving three semi-tractor trailers and four cars on Interstate 70 near Indianapolis left one person dead and two hospitalized. The crash occurred when the driver of a semi-tractor trailer failed to stop in time and hit the back of stopped traffic. The crash shut down the eastbound lanes of the interstate for nearly six hours while responders investigated and removed the wreckage. Authorities are still investigating the crash and do not believe alcohol or drugs were contributing factors.
