Manhole Intrusions Spread to Long Island as NYC Sewer Mystery Deepens
A group of five men was caught on surveillance video entering a manhole in Wantagh, Long Island, early Thursday, marking the latest in a series of unexplained sewer incursions across the New York area. While police in Nassau County found no one inside the drain upon arrival, similar incidents in New York City have left investigators searching for motives, with no arrests made so far.
