Outer Banks Creators Confirm 'Earned' Finale and Active Prequel Development
The creators of Netflix's Outer Banks have confirmed that the Season 5 finale was a long-planned conclusion, featuring a happy ending for the Pogues and the recovery of the Royal Merchant gold. While the show leaned into supernatural ambiguity regarding JJ's death, the creators clarified that no character was resurrected. A prequel series set 20 years prior is currently in active development at Netflix.
