FDA recalls Publix blueberries over potential E. coli contamination in Tri-State area
The FDA is recalling GreenWise Organic blueberries and mixed berries sold at Publix in eight states, including Kentucky, due to potential E. coli contamination (E. coli O145, STEC). Affected products include GreenWise Organic Whole Blueberries (10 oz and 48 oz, UPCs 41415-06453 and 41415-12053) and GreenWise Organic Whole Mixed Berries (10 oz and 48 oz, UPCs 41415-06753 and 41415-12153). The recall began July 3 and was expanded July 29; consumers who bought these products should not consume them and should return them to Publix for a full refund.
