Family of slain Marine veteran speaks out after Shoreline Plaza mass shooting
The family of Dale Henry Spry, a 63-year-old U.S. Marine Corps veteran killed in the Shoreline Plaza shooting, has spoken publicly about their loss. Spry was one of two men shot and killed by suspect Carlton Neal Johnson II on the ninth floor of the building. Johnson, 35, was killed by police during a shootout after shooting a woman during a custody exchange and two apartment staff members. Two officers were injured in the confrontation. Investigators are still determining the motive and whether Johnson or police fired first.
