
Father and Son Charged in Federal Kidnapping Case Involving Forest Service Workers
Joseph Henrichsen and his son Phoenix were federally charged with kidnapping two U.S. Forest Service workers who were held hostage for about 15 hours in a trailer in Siskiyou County, California; after an hours-long standoff they surrendered, and prosecutors say the son aided his father; a motive remains unclear and they face up to life in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted; preliminary hearing is set for Aug. 3.
