A 21-year-old Fremont man and Northstar employee, Colin Kang, who had been reported missing Wednesday night at Northstar California Resort in Truckee, was found dead Thursday morning on the Sugar Pine Glade trail. This marks the third death at the Tahoe resort this month, following the February deaths of a 53-year-old Bay Area man and a 26-year-old Los Angeles man in separate ski incidents.
Gwyneth Paltrow appeared in court for a trial regarding a 2016 skiing incident in Utah, wearing retro-style aviator glasses that drew comparisons to serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. The plaintiff, retired optometrist Dr. Terry Sanderson, claims that Paltrow collided with him while skiing "out of control," leaving him with serious injuries. Paltrow's lawyers claim that Sanderson had preexisting conditions and that their client did not flee the scene. Paltrow is countersuing the doctor for $1 and is also slated to take the stand in her own defense.
