Super Yooka-Laylee Kart revives retro SNES karting with a Diddy Kong Racing twist
Playtonic Games announced Super Yooka-Laylee Kart, a SNES-style kart racer with Mode 7-inspired visuals, a Rage mechanic for comeback power, and coin-based perks. It features online and local multiplayer for up to eight players, time trials, leaderboards, and a story campaign described as deep and replayable with a Diddy Kong Racing vibe. The game is headed to PC (Steam) with no release date or additional platforms announced yet, though multiplayer beta tests are planned.
