Solana Pay, a decentralized payment protocol built on the Solana blockchain, has integrated its plug-in with Shopify, allowing millions of businesses on the platform to accept payments using the USDC stablecoin. The integration aims to provide a fee-free payment option for merchants, as Solana's blockchain has an average transaction cost of $0.00025. Solana Pay plans to consider adding other cryptocurrencies in the future. The integration also enables merchants to set up loyalty programs easily. Shopify already integrates with other crypto payment applications, and Solana Pay has been adopted by major crypto names and payment processors.
