Claude voice mode expands to Opus and Sonnet with app integrations

Anthropic has extended Claude's voice mode from the Haiku model to the deeper Opus and Sonnet models, making voice interactions and actions available in apps like Gmail, Slack, and Canva. "Anthropic's Latest AI Models Pose Challenge to Big Tech and ChatGPT"

AI startup Anthropic has unveiled its new AI models, collectively called Claude 3, which includes Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku. The most capable model, Opus, has been touted to outperform industry-leading AI programs such as OpenAI's GPT-4 and Google's Gemini 1.0 Ultra in various tests. Anthropic aims to address the limitations of its previous model, Claude 2, by improving risk navigation and response accuracy. While the new models show increased capabilities in analysis and forecasting, they also have identified weaknesses in misinterpreting visual data and responding to harmful content. Anthropic is developing new policies to address potential misuse of its AI tools, particularly in the context of political misinformation.
