Second Missing U.S. Soldier Recovered in Morocco After Africa Lion Search
The U.S. military says the body of Spc. Mariyah Collington, the second service member missing during the African Lion exercise in Morocco, has been recovered from a coastal cave near Cap Draa, following the earlier recovery of Lt. Kendrick Key Jr. A joint search with more than 1,000 U.S. and Moroccan personnel covered over 8,200 square miles using drones, boats, and dive teams, despite challenging ocean conditions. Collington, 19, from Florida, was an air and missile defense crew member; the bodies are being returned to the U.S., and families are being supported.
