Warhammer Speed Freeks Turbo-charges to PS5 and Xbox Series This Spring

Publisher Wired Productions and developer Caged Element will bring Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series this spring, after its PC Early Access in 2024 and full PC release in 2025; the multiplayer action racing game lets players race and customize buggies, tanks, and helicopters, compete online or against bots, and use the Creation Workshop to build and share maps, including the 8v8 Deff Rally mode.

"Speed Freeks: The Warhammer 40K Car Combat Racer You Need to Play"

Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeks, a free-to-play, class-based multiplayer car combat racing game, inspired by a 2018 miniatures game, is coming to Windows PC, with an alpha playtest hitting Steam on Thursday. Players will battle each other in a variety of rigs in multiple game types, including Chase Mode and Convoy Mode. Developed by Caged Element and published by Plaion, Speed Freeks is "a bit scrappy, ramshackle and bolted together," so expect some bugs if you get into the alpha test.
