Final Fantasy XVI producer Naoki Yoshida expressed interest in a new Final Fantasy Tactics game, acknowledging the fans' desire for a comeback. While he believes the tactical approach wouldn't work in FF16's world, he stated that "it's probably about time that we do a new one." Many team members of FF16 have experience with Tactics, making the idea of them working on a Tactics game feasible. However, there has been no official announcement regarding the spinoff series making a comeback.
