SpringWorks Therapeutics' Breakthrough Cancer Treatment Receives FDA Approval
The FDA has granted approval to Springworks Therapeutics for their drug Ogsiveo, making it the first treatment available for desmoid tumors, a localized cancer that affects soft tissue and muscle. Desmoid tumors, although non-metastatic, can cause significant pain and disability. Currently, there are no approved therapies for this condition, with doctors resorting to off-label treatments such as chemotherapy, targeted therapies, radiation, and surgery.
