Tempe parking attendant sues after being struck by food-delivery robot
An Arizona woman, 73-year-old Trudy Perez, is suing Starship Technologies after she was knocked to the ground by a food-delivery robot in an ASU parking garage in 2023, suffering a spinal fracture and lifelong impairment. The suit alleges the robot suddenly reversed and collided with her, and argues robots should be remotely monitored and insured; the case is headed to a jury trial early next year.
