Ukraine's SBU and HUR clash over alleged FSB plot to kill opposition leader
Ukraine's domestic security service (SBU) and military intelligence (HUR) exchanged gunfire in Kyiv after the SBU detained Stepan Kaplunov, a Russian Volunteer Corps deputy commander. The SBU accused Kaplunov of plotting an FSB-backed assassination of a Russian opposition leader, while his lawyers claim he was tortured into confessing. President Zelensky condemned the interagency violence as 'shameful' and ordered an investigation.
