UAW Orders 6,800 Members to Strike at Stellantis' Michigan Plants
The United Auto Workers (UAW) has ordered 6,800 members to join the ongoing strike at Stellantis' Sterling Heights Assembly Plant, the company's largest and most profitable facility where Ram light-duty pickup trucks are produced. This expansion of the strike follows UAW President Shawn Fain's criticism of Stellantis' current offer. With over 40,000 UAW members now on strike across all three Detroit automakers, the situation is still developing.
