Oil spike drags US equities as inflation fears return
US stocks slid as oil surged toward $100 a barrel, rekindling inflation fears; the Dow fell about 628 points (1.2%) to 52,786, while the S&P 500 and Nasdaq declined about 0.6% and 0.3% respectively, as higher energy prices and a rising 10-year yield lifted rate-hike expectations.
