Samsung P9 microSD Express cards drop to $48 as Switch 2 storage crunch intensifies
Samsung’s 256GB P9 microSD Express card is discounted to $47.99, and the 512GB version to $99, at Amazon and B&H Photo. These prices are significantly lower than recent market highs driven by a global memory shortage. The cards offer up to 800MB/s read speeds, essential for the Nintendo Switch 2, which requires microSD Express standards for game loading. While the 256GB card is now cheaper than its original launch price, the 512GB option remains above its initial cost. This deal coincides with a heavy 2027 game release schedule that may force users to expand their console’s 256GB internal storage.
