China and Russia pledge to boost military ties in high-level meeting.
China's defence minister, Li Shangfu, met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Moscow to discuss deepening military cooperation between the two nations. Li stated that China was willing to work with Russia to have close strategic communications between their militaries and strengthen multilateral coordination and cooperation. Putin and Li hailed military cooperation between the two nations, which have declared a "no limits" partnership. The meeting comes weeks after an official visit to Moscow of China's leader Xi Jinping last month.
