OlympusMute Mod Blocks Asmongold’s Guild in WoW: Forever Beta
A client-side mod called OlympusMute has emerged to block chat and interactions from Asmongold’s massive guild, Olympus, in the World of Warcraft: Forever beta. The addon, created by former fan Solastro, aims to mitigate spam and harassment from the streamer’s 30,000-member community, which critics say disrupts public spaces. While Asmongold defends his guild as inclusive, opponents cite racist slurs and aggressive recruitment tactics. The controversy highlights how the game’s new server architecture makes avoiding large influencer groups difficult, prompting a polarized debate over player conduct and moderation.
