UF names Stuart Bell interim president to lead transition
UF Board of Trustees unanimously appointed Dr. Stuart R. Bell as interim president, effective July 1 and pending ratification by the Florida Board of Governors. Bell, former president of the University of Alabama (2015–2025), is credited with strengthening academics, boosting enrollment, advancing athletics, modernizing facilities, and helping Alabama achieve R1 research status.
