ROTC Cadets Subdue Gunman in Old Dominion University Classroom
ROTC students in an Old Dominion University classroom subdued a gunman who killed the class instructor and wounded two others; the attacker, Mohamed Bailor Jalloh, died in the incident and federal authorities are treating it as terrorism. Jalloh, a former Virginia National Guardsman with ISIS-related convictions, shouted 'Allahu Akbar' before the attack. Investigators found no explosives or broader wrongdoing at other locations, and there’s no clear evidence of a Middle East war motive. The FBI, alongside state officials, praised the students and first responders for preventing further harm.
