William Leads Royal Welcome for Sultan of Oman in Historic UK Visit
Prince William and Kate Middleton led the ceremonial welcome for Sultan Haitham bin Tariq al-Said of Oman on Tuesday, October 20, 2026. The visit marks the first official state visit by an Omani ruler to the UK in over 40 years. William greeted the Sultan in London before accompanying him to Windsor, where King Charles and Queen Camilla joined the ceremony. The event highlights William's expanding role as a working royal following Charles' 2024 cancer diagnosis.
