Honda Civic Type R-GT: Track Testing Begins for 2024 Race Debut
Honda is moving forward with the development of the Civic Type R-GT race car, which is set to debut in the 2024 season of the Super GT series. The vehicle, based on the road-legal Civic Type-R, features a dedicated 2.0-liter turbocharged engine and is expected to deliver "ultimate pure sports performance." The first shakedown tests are scheduled for July 25 and 26 at the Okayama International Circuit in Japan. The Civic Type R-GT aims to replace the NSX-GT Type S, which last won the championship in 2020.
