Nintendo Switch Online has added three classic SNES games - Wrecking Crew ‘98, Super R-Type, and Amazing Hebereke to its library, offering members access to a variety of NES, SNES, Game Boy, and Gameboy Colour games for the standard $3.99 a month subscription. Wrecking Crew ‘98 features Mario in a yellow hard hat, Super R-Type is a challenging side-scrolling shooter, and Amazing Hebereke is a quirky top-down battle royale game.
Nintendo's Switch Online adds three new games to its SNES library, including Super R-Type and Wrecking Crew '98. Despite the slow drip-feed of classic games, the service now offers almost all of Nintendo's in-house developed, US-released SNES games. However, the limitations of playing these dated games and the absence of certain titles have left some subscribers underwhelmed, while the more expensive Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack offers N64 and Sega Genesis titles.
Three new SNES games, including Wrecking Crew '98, have been added to the Nintendo Switch Online catalogue, while Japan receives a different line-up.
