South LA Grocery Raided During Street Takeover, Leaving Staff Barricaded
A group of at least 20 people looted a Superior Grocers store in South Los Angeles early Sunday morning during an illegal street takeover. Employees were forced to hide on the second floor while the crowd smashed windows and stole merchandise, including alcohol. Police arrested one individual, but the total value of the stolen goods remains unknown, and the store has not yet reopened.
