Nixon: ‘Punished’ but Ready to attack Packers’ starting-corner challenge
Green Bay Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon says he doesn’t know why his starting job is in jeopardy and believes he’s being “punished,” but he intends to keep competing and “attack” the challenge. Coach Matt LaFleur says the team is evaluating the competition on fundamentals like assignment accuracy and tackling. Nixon, a four-year veteran who’s been a frequent starter and All-Pro returner, is in the final year of his extension and faces questions after recent tackling concerns and a high-profile goal-line miscue, as Green Bay prepares for the Sept. 13 opener against Minnesota.
