
Armed Suspect Arrested After Hazelwood Tactical Stand-Off
Bennie D. Miller IV, 39, was booked into Multnomah County Detention Center on Coercion-DV, Unlawful Use of a Weapon-DV, Menacing-DV, and Felon in Possession of a Firearm charges, plus Criminal Mischief in the First Degree for damaging two police robots during the Hazelwood neighborhood tactical incident. The case followed a lengthy standoff with Crisis Negotiation Team and Special Emergency Response Team, various de-escalation efforts, and a shelter-in-place order; a victim remained safe and Miller was taken into custody as investigations continued.
