Diverse Runners Unite for NYC Marathon, Each with a Unique Motivation
First Deputy Commissioner Tania Kinsella of the NYPD is dedicating her fifth NYC Marathon run to her father, who is battling Stage 4 cancer. Kinsella, a member of Team Inspire, expressed her excitement for the run and looks forward to the support of her family and fellow runners. She shared her motivation to run in honor of her father, who cannot run himself. Kinsella, the first woman of color to hold the position of first deputy commissioner, has had a distinguished career with the NYPD, serving in various roles before assuming her current position.
