
Fatal Shooting Claims Life of Kentucky Teacher at Catholic University in DC
Maxwell Emerson, a 25-year-old social studies teacher and assistant wrestling coach from Kentucky, was shot and killed on Catholic University's campus in Washington, D.C. while on his way to a teachers' workshop at the Library of Congress. Surveillance video showed two men, one of whom shot Emerson before fleeing the scene. Emerson's family disputes claims that he knew the shooter, and police believe the two men were acquainted. Neither Emerson nor the suspect were affiliated with Catholic University.
