Teamsters Local 952 Strike Halts Key Orange County Services
More than 465 workers from Teamsters Local 952 began striking on October 13, 2026, after months of stalled contract negotiations with Orange County. The walkout affects essential services for approximately 3 million residents, including waste management, road maintenance, and animal care. Union leaders cite a lack of good-faith bargaining and the county’s refusal to offer retroactive pay, while county officials emphasize contingency plans to minimize service disruptions.
