The New York Giants and Minnesota Vikings had successful 2022 seasons but didn't make it to the Super Bowl. Both teams hired first-time analytics-oriented general managers and offensively-minded head coaches after disappointing previous seasons. The teams split two close games against each other in 2022, suggesting that they were pretty evenly matched. In 2023, the Vikings have gone into "tear it down" mode, while the Giants are projected to have only five to six new starters this year.
