Alexi Hawley Extends Lionsgate TV Pact to Grow The Rookie Universe
Alexi Hawley, the creator/showrunner of The Rookie, has signed a multi-year extension with Lionsgate Television to continue developing and producing scripted series for the studio, including his hostage-recovery drama The Envoy at HBO Max. The deal marks Hawley’s fourth consecutive overall pact with Lionsgate/eOne since the merger, as The Rookie remains a ratings powerhouse and Hawley leads The Rookie: North, slated to premiere on ABC/Hulu in early 2027.
