Himesh Patel has been cast as the co-lead opposite Danielle Deadwyler in Ryan Coogler’s Hulu pilot for a new The X-Files series. They’ll play new FBI agents in a long-dormant division dedicated to unexplained phenomena; the project, produced by 20th Television and Onyx Collective, has Coogler writing/directing/EP with Sev Ohanian and Zinzi Coogler, with Jennifer Yale as showrunner and Chris Carter also producing. Patel and Deadwyler previously worked together on Station Eleven, reuniting on this reboot not as Mulder/Scully.
