Microsoft expands AI capabilities with Bing Chat and drops waitlist.

Microsoft has moved its ChatGPT-powered Bing chatbot from a closed, invite-only preview to an open preview that anyone can join. The new Bing Chat will be more visual, generate charts and graphs, and allow users to search for images by uploading a similar image. Microsoft plans to expand the amount of history and context Bing Chat can remember and add support for third-party plugins to extend its capabilities. The company is committed to integrating generative AI features into all of its products and has introduced them into Windows 11's taskbar, Skype, and GitHub, among other products.
