Timberline forfeits homecoming game after students walk out over violent chat threats
Timberline High School students walked out of class on Wednesday in protest of violent threats made against a female student in a football team group chat. The Boise School District forfeited the homecoming football game to Kuna, citing safety concerns and the need for the community to process the incident. The Boise Police Department is investigating the messages, which included explicit references to sexual violence and death. A Change.org petition demanding action has garnered over 11,000 signatures, while the district paused internal reviews to avoid jeopardizing the criminal investigation.
