First American Financial: Targeted by Hackers in Cyberattack
First American Financial Corporation, the second-largest title insurance company in the US, has taken some of its systems offline following a cyberattack. The company, which provides financial and settlement services for property transactions, reported a cybersecurity incident and is working to return to normal operations. This comes after the company paid a $1 million penalty in November for a breach that exposed personal and financial data. Another title insurance provider, Fidelity National Financial, also disclosed a cybersecurity incident last month.
