Army to mass-produce modular, commercial-focused long-range EW system by 2027
The Army plans to begin production in fiscal 2027 of the Terrestrial Layer System-Echelons Above Brigade (TLS-EAB), a long-range ground jammer whose design shifted from bespoke requirements to a commercial-first, modular approach, splitting TLS-EAB into signals intelligence and EW variants, with TLS-EW portable and platform-agnostic; airborne EW initiatives like Long-Range Airborne EW (LRAEW) on the Gray Eagle are also evolving, while Project Convergence validated prototypes and underscored the value of EW across echelons for theater operations.
