Florida Judge Convicts Self-Represented Surgeon in Attorney’s Disappearance
Judge Joseph Bulone found plastic surgeon Tomasz Kosowski guilty of first-degree murder in the 2023 disappearance of attorney Steven Cozzi. Kosowski, who waived his right to a jury trial and represented himself, faces a sentencing hearing on October 8 where he could receive life in prison or the death penalty. Prosecutors argued Kosowski killed Cozzi in a law office bathroom and disposed of the body in a dumpster, while Kosowski claimed the physical evidence was impossible to execute.
