"Deadly Train Arson in Bangladesh Pre-Election Turmoil Claims 5 Lives"
In Dhaka, Bangladesh, a train fire resulted in five fatalities, with police suspecting arson amidst political tensions ahead of boycotted national elections. The Benapole Express caught fire near Dhaka's main rail terminal, and while many passengers were rescued, the rapid spread of the fire led to casualties, including some Indian citizens. This incident follows a similar event last month, which the opposition Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) was blamed for but denied involvement in. The BNP, along with other parties, has boycotted the upcoming elections, calling them a "sham," and there have been numerous arrests of opposition activists.
