Bear Sightings in Altamonte Springs and Colorado Result in Tragic Consequences
A juvenile black bear was spotted in populated areas of Altamonte Springs, Florida, and was seen wandering away into a wooded area after wildlife officials, police officers, and sheriff's deputies tried to catch it with tranquilizer darts. The bear had been around since at least Monday night and had shown stress-induced behavior due to the presence of large crowds. Officials have asked people to stay away from the area until the bear is either able to move along on its own or is relocated by staff.
