Arias climbs to Triple-A, one step from Boston stardom
Red Sox prospect Franklin Arias was promoted from Double-A Portland to Triple-A Worcester after an outstanding season that has him leading the Eastern League in OPS (.994) and among the leaders in batting average (.318), on-base percentage (.407), slugging (.587) and home runs (19). The 20-year-old, one of the youngest position players at this level, recently participated in the All-Star Futures Game, and the move brings him closer to a potential big-league debut.
